It's easy to drift into different moods during the day at the law office. One minute your stressed and anxious about the work that was due yesterday, the next minute, your a little more stressed and anxious. I like listening to music to shift my mood to something a little more desirable. Here are 3 Albums/Songs you should check out depending on your mood.
1. If you are in the mood to jump at a rock concert (or pull the lever on your chair so you can move up and down) listen to Radkey, Dark Black Makeup
I discovered this band and album only recently and boy, am I glad I did. This Missouri band formed by three brothers in 2010 really know how to rock. The album is a great mix of hard-hitting fast punk rock and classic rock riffs (with some guitar solos scattered). Bonus - If you listen on Spotify there is a live album for your listening pleasure.
2. If you are in the mood to put your head down and possibly cry because your carpal tunnel is acting up listen to Dashboard Confessional, The Swiss Army Romance.
This album was released in 2000 (yikes). Nonetheless, the message is still the same: Your carpal tunnel hurts, your start feeling emo, and you need to scream -- maybe 'Screaming Infidelities'. So you do what a reasonable person would do, you turn to Christopher Carrabba. You start to feel nostalgic and conquer the rest of your day.
3. If you are in the mood for motivation listen to Pokémon, Pokémon Theme Song.
I don't play Pokémon Go. I didn't play with Pokémon cards growing up. I happened to stumble on this song listening to a children's music playlist on Amazon music while applauding my daughter during "Tummy Time" and I will admit - I was pumped up. It may have been that I hadn't my coffee yet, but when I heard the first line -- "I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was" I was motivated. If you can get over that the song is about catching fictional creatures, it's worth a shot.
